Apple gift cards top up the balance of your Apple Account. With that balance you can buy apps, games, music, films and content across Apple's services, or pay for subscriptions and in-app purchases, including in-game currencies, where the service accepts the balance.

Your account's region is essential. The Apple balance is tied to the country of your account and to a single currency, so a gift card from another country cannot be redeemed. Before buying, check the country of your Apple Account and choose a value with the same region, shown on every product page.

To redeem the code, open the App Store or iTunes, choose Redeem and enter the code. The credit is added to your account balance. Your code is available in your orders area and is also sent by email.

After redeeming, the balance stays on the account you used, so make sure you are signed in to the right one. Payment is in euro with VAT included for EU customers and, if the order cannot be completed, you are refunded automatically.
